Women in the Arts who want to feature at there series of events.

The Feminine Touch Series are monthly Series events aimed at exposing & providing support for Women in the Arts (Poets, Singer, Dj’s, Photographers, Mc’s etc.)

This Youth Month they are bringing together an exciting line up of 2 talented Singers & a Dj supported by our resident Dj’s at Setebe’s Lounge (Diepkloof Square).

ROSIE PARADE – ”is the DJ moniker of Joburg creative Colleen Balchin. After playing out for the first time in August 2012, the Kitchener’s regular has slowly built her skill set and fan base. With a growing reputation for fresh and soulful selections, bolstered no doubt by her blonde crop and cute face, Rosie Parade is the next word in the city’s burgeoning underground scene.

Rosie Parade’s selection is based on the music she wants to hear on a dance floor. As comfortable dropping slow-jams on a Saturday afternoon as she is banging it for club kids at the witching-hour, your girl is here for the tight bitches in crop tops and hoop earrings who just want to feel their own God-given bodies – bless up.

Check out her link to Mixcloud.”

SERATI –  ”hails from Alexandra Township, Johannesburg. She is a singer-songwriter, poet, guitar player, model and dancer. She lived in the UK for two years where she attended her high school. For two years she studied music and piano; which was her first love. After she performed at the annual school concert Serati was subsequently known as ‘the girl with the voice’.

Coming back to South Africa guitar ended up being her outlet for song-writing. She is closely linked to Alex Fm where she has done several interviews on air and performed at their events. She has performed solo live on Radio 2000, VOW fm and Talk Radio 702. Serati is currently the fifth finalist on the Castle Milk stout Unplugged singing talent search, as a result she was recently on Metro fm, where her new recorded song Hurt So Good and two covers that she did were played live on air.”

PEARL (Singer) – ”Mandisa Mathebula, known as ‘The Pearl’, began singing at the tender age of 7. Introduced to various music tastes at the age of 12 by Scandal scriptwriter Percy Vilakazi, her love for music began to blossom.

In 2009 Percy Vilkazi presented her with the opportunity to do session singing for a show on TV. She took up the chance and has been a session singer to date. In studio she has worked with the likes of Andy Magazz, Malik Zwane, Donald, Kelly Khumalo, Dj Bonnie amongst others. In 2012 she joined a choir and recorded a live DVD and CD. ”AKA : LEVELS” Cover Artwork

The latest news from Vth Season source, is that local rapper AKA has revealed the album artwork for his highly anticipated sophomore album “LEVELS.”

The gold coloured album cover features a boombox in the centre, symbolizing music as the centre of the “Congratulate” rapper’s life. You will also see pyramids on the right and the left, which symbolizes personal development, that is, the sense of harmony and unity within ourselves and with the environment to which we aspire. The higher you are on the pyramid, the more developed you are. And of course, AKA’s face in the sky. Godly maybe?

‘LEVELS’ will be available for pre-order on iTunes from Monday, June 16th. The album officially drops on Tuesday July 8th. The new single titled “Run Jozi” features K.O and will be available on June 24th for download on various download platforms.

Check out the Vth Season website, awesome work been done by these guys. Have to give out much respect to there bizniz and the hustle.

How to Become a Millionaire by Age 30

This has been a discussion and topic among the young entrepreneur that i keep meeting and networking with along my way. As you meet lots of new people and personalities across different industries, This is the one thing i found that alot of those people mentioned. It was to be successful millionaire by the time they reached the age 30.

This has made me do alot of research, reading, discussions and many nights of google to help me answer this simple yet taboo topic, and as being apart of the Entrepreneur Network, i was sent this article which in all my research is one of those which i had to post and share.

The below top 10 simple, yet realistic step is from  Grant Cardone who is an international sales expert, New York Times best-selling author, and radio show host of The Cardone Zone. He has founded three companies: Cardone Enterprises, Cardone Real Estate Holdings, and the Cardone Group.

1. Follow the money. In today’s economic environment you cannot save your way to millionaire status. The first step is to focus on increasing your income in increments and repeating that. My income was $3,000 a month and nine years later it was $20,000 a month. Start following the money and it will force you to control revenue and see opportunities.

2. Don’t show off — show up! I didn’t buy my first luxury watch or car until my businesses and investments were producing multiple secure flows of income. I was still driving a Toyota Camry when I had become a millionaire. Be known for your work ethic, not the trinkets that you buy.

3. Save to invest, don’t save to save. The only reason to save money is to invest it.  Put your saved money into secured, sacred (untouchable) accounts. Never use these accounts for anything, not even an emergency. This will force you to continue to follow step one (increase income). To this day, at least twice a year, I am broke because I always invest my surpluses into ventures I cannot access.

4. Avoid debt that doesn’t pay you. Make it a rule that you never use debt that won’t make you money. I borrowed money for a car only because I knew it could increase my income. Rich people use debt to leverage investments and grow cash flows. Poor people use debt to buy things that make rich people richer.

5. Treat money like a jealous lover. Millions wish for financial freedom, but only those that make it a priority have millions. To get rich and stay rich you will have to make it a priority. Money is like a jealous lover. Ignore it and it will ignore you, or worse, it will leave you for someone who makes it a priority.

6. Money doesn’t sleep. Money doesn’t know about clocks, schedules or holidays, and you shouldn’t either. Money loves people that have a great work ethic. When I was 26 years old, I was in retail and the store I worked at closed at 7 p.m. Most times you could find me there at 11 p.m. making an extra sale. Never try to be the smartest or luckiest person — just make sure you outwork everyone.

7. Poor makes no sense. I have been poor, and it sucks. I have had just enough and that sucks almost as bad. Eliminate any and all ideas that being poor is somehow OK. Bill Gates has said, “If you’re born poor, it’s not your mistake. But if you die poor, it is your mistake.”

8. Get a millionaire mentor. Most of us were brought up middle class or poor and then hold ourselves to the limits and ideas of that group. I have been studying millionaires to duplicate what they did. Get your own personal millionaire mentor and study them. Most rich people are extremely generous with their knowledge and their resources.

9. Get your money to do the heavy lifting. Investing is the Holy Grail in becoming a millionaire and you should make more money off your investments than your work. If you don’t have surplus money you won’t make investments. The second company I started required a $50,000 investment. That company has paid me back that $50,000 every month for the last 10 years. My third investment was in real estate, where I started with $350,000, a large part of my net worth at the time. I still own that property today and it continues to provide me with income. Investing is the only reason to do the other steps, and your money must work for you and do your heavy lifting.

10. Shoot for $10 million, not $1 million. The single biggest financial mistake I’ve made was not thinking big enough. I encourage you to go for more than a million. There is no shortage of money on this planet, only a shortage of people thinking big enough.
