How to achieve success – Joel Baloyi

How to achieve success

One afternoon on my way to the office I heard an advert on radio from our local South African radio channel. This ad was a man who called a plumbing company to help him with fixing a baking problem, then at the end of the ad a question is asked about you calling a plumber for either a baking problem or anniversary tips. The answer is simply NO!!!

Many small medium businesses are affected by these problems because they can’t afford to pay for expert advice and services like larger businesses — they rather go for anything that can help them save a buck. My question is how many times are you going to call a plumber to assist with muffins that aren’t coming out of the oven as they are supposed to ?

Everyone in business wants to have a website so people can find them anywhere they are, but for SMB’s its hard to find a web developer that can develop a website that is equivalent to a top quality website that they can afford with their small and limited budget. This is why we created — a website builder that creates custom websites with a price plan that best suits its target market of Small to Medium businesses. This product was developed by Thirdrail, a strategic marketing and web development studio that wants to see SMB’s succeeding online.

With many amazing features from cross platform websites (meaning that your website will look beautiful on any type of device) to an easy content editing system that enables any user to add, remove and edit content, without the need of having special technical skills. In fact, adding and editing content is as easy as working with a Microsoft Word document. For up to 10 great features and a monthly maintainance fee of as little as R250.00 it’s a deal worth looking into and investing in. As a small or medium business you don’t have the time or money to waste on getting tips and advice from a plumber about a baking problem.

So this is the time to consider in investing in something that will be worth your while. I would advise visiting to any small medium business that wants to invest in a quality website that brings results.

The Real Success Experience 2014

The Real Success Experience, to be staged at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, on 12 and 13 July, will feature a panel of acclaimed South African speakers and experts in a range of disciplines. Organiser Brian Walsh, CEO of the REAL Entrepreneur Institute, notes that many businesses fail because of the mindsets of their owners. “The biggest challenge facing any business is the business owner. If the owner does not have the right mindset and behaviours, the business is doomed to fail,” he says.

“Entrepreneurs and business owners often feel burdened by stress, anxiety and a lack of self-belief. They frequently feel alone in this. Once they discover they are not alone, and learn how to overcome those feelings, they are empowered to grow – both personally and in business.”

Walsh says feedback from many events he has participated in prompted him to present the Real Success Experience, with a programme developed in partnership with successful South African entrepreneurs and behavioural and development experts who are passionate about teaching and sharing their experiences. “Local people want to hear how individuals and businesses thrived in the face of our unique challenges. They want to know exactly what strategies and approaches were used to overcome challenges and become successful,” says Walsh.

In collaboration with experts such as sales specialist Neil Malan, author, inspirational speaker, and multi-millionaire entrepreneur Billy Selekane, psychology and leadership expert, author and international speaker Justin Cohen, ‘fearless’ businessman and investor Coert Coetzee, leading marketing coach Barry Mitchell and international mind power and personal mastery authority Robin Banks, Walsh has prepared a programme designed to fast-track personal and business growth. “This event is called an experience, rather than a conference, because instead of simply presenting an assortment of speakers, the Real Success Experience programme has been carefully put together by a group of people who collectively want to make a difference. The content flows to ensure that every crucial aspect of personal and business success is addressed over the two days of the event,” says Walsh.

Up to 4,000 delegates are expected to benefit from the experience, says Walsh, with 2,000 tickets to be made available for free. Over 14 top South African speakers, entrepreneurs, inspirational teachers and leading human behavioural and business specialists will outline strategies for success, aiming to transform the lives of delegates.

How to Become a Millionaire by Age 30

This has been a discussion and topic among the young entrepreneur that i keep meeting and networking with along my way. As you meet lots of new people and personalities across different industries, This is the one thing i found that alot of those people mentioned. It was to be successful millionaire by the time they reached the age 30.

This has made me do alot of research, reading, discussions and many nights of google to help me answer this simple yet taboo topic, and as being apart of the Entrepreneur Network, i was sent this article which in all my research is one of those which i had to post and share.

The below top 10 simple, yet realistic step is from  Grant Cardone who is an international sales expert, New York Times best-selling author, and radio show host of The Cardone Zone. He has founded three companies: Cardone Enterprises, Cardone Real Estate Holdings, and the Cardone Group.

1. Follow the money. In today’s economic environment you cannot save your way to millionaire status. The first step is to focus on increasing your income in increments and repeating that. My income was $3,000 a month and nine years later it was $20,000 a month. Start following the money and it will force you to control revenue and see opportunities.

2. Don’t show off — show up! I didn’t buy my first luxury watch or car until my businesses and investments were producing multiple secure flows of income. I was still driving a Toyota Camry when I had become a millionaire. Be known for your work ethic, not the trinkets that you buy.

3. Save to invest, don’t save to save. The only reason to save money is to invest it.  Put your saved money into secured, sacred (untouchable) accounts. Never use these accounts for anything, not even an emergency. This will force you to continue to follow step one (increase income). To this day, at least twice a year, I am broke because I always invest my surpluses into ventures I cannot access.

4. Avoid debt that doesn’t pay you. Make it a rule that you never use debt that won’t make you money. I borrowed money for a car only because I knew it could increase my income. Rich people use debt to leverage investments and grow cash flows. Poor people use debt to buy things that make rich people richer.

5. Treat money like a jealous lover. Millions wish for financial freedom, but only those that make it a priority have millions. To get rich and stay rich you will have to make it a priority. Money is like a jealous lover. Ignore it and it will ignore you, or worse, it will leave you for someone who makes it a priority.

6. Money doesn’t sleep. Money doesn’t know about clocks, schedules or holidays, and you shouldn’t either. Money loves people that have a great work ethic. When I was 26 years old, I was in retail and the store I worked at closed at 7 p.m. Most times you could find me there at 11 p.m. making an extra sale. Never try to be the smartest or luckiest person — just make sure you outwork everyone.

7. Poor makes no sense. I have been poor, and it sucks. I have had just enough and that sucks almost as bad. Eliminate any and all ideas that being poor is somehow OK. Bill Gates has said, “If you’re born poor, it’s not your mistake. But if you die poor, it is your mistake.”

8. Get a millionaire mentor. Most of us were brought up middle class or poor and then hold ourselves to the limits and ideas of that group. I have been studying millionaires to duplicate what they did. Get your own personal millionaire mentor and study them. Most rich people are extremely generous with their knowledge and their resources.

9. Get your money to do the heavy lifting. Investing is the Holy Grail in becoming a millionaire and you should make more money off your investments than your work. If you don’t have surplus money you won’t make investments. The second company I started required a $50,000 investment. That company has paid me back that $50,000 every month for the last 10 years. My third investment was in real estate, where I started with $350,000, a large part of my net worth at the time. I still own that property today and it continues to provide me with income. Investing is the only reason to do the other steps, and your money must work for you and do your heavy lifting.

10. Shoot for $10 million, not $1 million. The single biggest financial mistake I’ve made was not thinking big enough. I encourage you to go for more than a million. There is no shortage of money on this planet, only a shortage of people thinking big enough.

Apple buys Beats by Dre = $3 Billion

In a statement released earlier this afternoon, Apple officially announced its acquisition of Beats By Dr. Dre for a total $3 billion, of which $2.6 billion will be cash up front and $400 million in stock. The purchase consists of Beats Music, its subscription-base streaming music service, as well as Beats Electronics, the maker of Beats headphones, speakers, and audio software.

First reported by the Financial Times , there were rumors of the deal in jeopardy, especially after Beats By Dr. Dre’s co-founder, hip-hop artist Andre Romelle Young (aka Dr. Dre), released an obscenity-loaded online video confirming the acquisition.

“Music is such an important part of all of our lives and holds a special place within our hearts at Apple,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “That’s why we have kept investing in music and are bringing together these extraordinary teams so we can continue to create the most innovative music products and services in the world.”

“I’ve always known in my heart that Beats belonged with Apple,” added Jimmy Iovine, who co-founded Beats with Dr. Dre. “The idea when we started the company was inspired by Apple’s unmatched ability to marry culture and technology. Apple’s deep commitment to music fans, artists, songwriters and the music industry is something special.”

At the end of the day, we all have dreamt of iy and not many of us had tried working on it. Maybe we not sure of which our BIZNIZ is right now, but be sure that we all have our BIZNIZ.

Facebook acquires Whatsapp for $19bn

Why would Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg pay a total of $19 billion for Whatsapp? A service which cost us app users only R7.99 for a 12 month subscription. A Deal which went down with over $16 billion of Facebook shares and another $3 billion in cash.

For a tech start-up company in Silicon Valley, which only at the time employed 50 staff, from as little of 5 years from conception in 2009 now has over 450 million active users. Which as from the words of Facebook CEO, has been the fastest growing social service, which has capitalized on the user being able to send instant messages without the telecom expense.

This is another big acquisition for Mark Zuckerberg and his Facebook team, after adding Instagram (Acquired in 2012 for $1 billion dollars) and now Whatspp. Who just be running the socail media turf?
