Nike Air Jordan ”Future”

The latest and newest release from the Nike ”Air Jordan” came in the form of a sneaker dressed in a woven upper and contrasting midsole. These are one of those Jordans which you either seem to love it or hate it, no other two-ways about that.

An asymmetrical lacing system enhances the aesthetic, while gold accents; seen on the aglets and Jumpman emblem on the tongue, really gives this Jordan Future a premium look and feel. The Jordan Future has been released in two new colourways, ”Wolf Grey White” and ”Black White” both looking fresh and sweet at the same time.

These has just dropped and is available at Shelflife for a sweet little buck, if you think they cool enough might as well get these delivered to you from these guys too. Stay Fresh and Keep it sweet.

Kanye West x Adidas Originals ZX 850

Kanye West was dubbed a creative genius upon his entrance into the spotlight. From music to design and everything in between, West is well respected for his creative spirit and continues to be rewarded for it. As we not so patiently await his highly anticipated collaboration with Adidas, today Ibn Jasper, West’s friend and also a designer in his own right, unearthed work that Ye actually did for the Three Stripes in years past, dating back to 2006.

After the College Dropout and Late Registration, West had a deal with Reebok and crafted a collection with the brand. That quickly changed as adidas purchased the brand for $3.8 billion in 2005. But a design West created in 2006 over the adidas ZX 850 was unveiled by Japser today. Created for the David Beckham line and updated and enhanced by West himself, the shoe never saw the light of day but does offer insight to his early design cues and his relationship with adidas long before his deal with Nike.

New Balance x Shelflife x Dr Zulu

The sneaker guys would love the collaboration of Shelflife and Dr Zulu teaming up with International sneaker brand New Balance. This comes as the collaborative project  ”City of Gold” 574.

The New Balance “City of Gold” 574 draws design inspiration from South Africa’s largest metropolis; the city of Johannesburg; dubbed the “City of Gold” for its large-scale gold trade and wealth.  The graphics make reference to the formidable Parktown Prawn king cricket. Specific to the Johannesburg region, the Parktown Prawn has grown into one of Jozie’s most talked about cultural icons due to its aggressive nature and the urban legend of its indestructibility.

The yellow and grey colourway reflecting the colours of the local train system, as well as a stylized diamond symbol that mimics the graphics of traditional African tribal artworks. Boasting a collection of premium extras, the “City of Gold” 574 package comes with two interchangeable velcro options for the ‘N’ logo, a spare pair of black laces, a canvas carry bag and a rubber prawn keying.

The official South Africa release date will be on the 17th April 2014, while it will infect the rest of the world from the 28th April 2014 at a selection of sneaker retailers.
