The fashion world awaited for the revealing of the ”Kanye West x Adidas” Yeezy Boost Line at a show in this years New York Fashion Week. Whether it was out of curiosity or just wanting to see what Mr West had to offer with this collaboration with Adidas. It was a further release to the ”Yeezy 750 Boost” boot which will be released worldwide on the 14th February 2015.
The release is set to be launched at $350 price tag and in which will only be 1 of 9000 pairs worldwide. A mysterious Yeezy website with a countdown clock had gone up last week to stoke excitement over the highly anticipated release, West’s inaugural collaboration with Adidas Originals. An app was set up to take reservations for the gray suede high tops, to be collected and paid for at Adidas and other stores in New York City on Saturday, only for the moment.
The front row to the show was filled with a host of celebrities pulling through to view the inaugural collection range. Jay Z, Beyonce, P Diddy, Big Sean, Justin Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Russel Simmons.
The collection in which we saw models wearing minimal neutral tights or street wear in red, green and black to let the shoes shine in a tech-driven unveiling that included a simulcast to 42 theatres on three continents around the world. Mr West as we know him and see him around, his wardrobe seems to be filled with neutral, blacks, white and plain simple colours as we have noted in the range.
We would just keep you posted as we wait to see what more we would get from Kanye West and Adidas.
I had this endless argument (discussion as she would call it) with my girlfriend in regards to the amount of shirts, in particular the amount of check-shirts that i owned in my wardrobe. I had to come up with a plan with what i was going to do with all these shirts, as i felt at some point she would donate all the shirts to some hospice sooner or later.
I remember soon after Chris Brown dropped his hit song ”Loyal”, in the music video we saw him pull off the ”shirt-wrapped-around-waist” trend which if i recall we used to do as kids when you were tired of having to carry your jacket/shirt around but would end up wrapping it around your waist. But as adults after a few well known celebrities and hip-hop artist starting doing these things it all becomes normal at this age or so we seem to feel.
This left me with no choice, thanks to the help of Breezy with just the right idea and option i needed to put the shirts i had to a good, very good use. I had to find some inspiration before going ahead and doing this, as i know my girlfriend too well and she wouldn’t let me down easily if i came up with this plan and it failed. If it had to fail i think that much more than just my shirts would have ended up at the local hospice.
Check out the ”shirt-wrapped-around-waist” trend just as it is meant to be done. If these guys could do it, sure we all could.
Kanye West was dubbed a creative genius upon his entrance into the spotlight. From music to design and everything in between, West is well respected for his creative spirit and continues to be rewarded for it. As we not so patiently await his highly anticipated collaboration with Adidas, today Ibn Jasper, West’s friend and also a designer in his own right, unearthed work that Ye actually did for the Three Stripes in years past, dating back to 2006.
After the College Dropout and Late Registration, West had a deal with Reebok and crafted a collection with the brand. That quickly changed as adidas purchased the brand for $3.8 billion in 2005. But a design West created in 2006 over the adidas ZX 850 was unveiled by Japser today. Created for the David Beckham line and updated and enhanced by West himself, the shoe never saw the light of day but does offer insight to his early design cues and his relationship with adidas long before his deal with Nike.
